This menopause hormone consulting practice has responded to the increasing demand of perimenopause and menopause aged women looking for safe and effective options to treat the often debilitating symptoms that they experience at this time of life.

This practice offers women the expertise of Martha Sloane NP who has worked in this specialty for the past 17 years. Martha serves patients in the greater Boston area and offers extended visits with personal attention to the needs of each individual. Visits consist of a detailed medical history, review of medical records, evaluation of current symptomatology, ordering and interpretation of hormone levels and prescribing of customized compounded hormone replacement treatment offered as a transdermal lotion. These prescriptions are made up individually for each women by an accredited reputable compounding pharmacy.  Martha is acquainted with all of the top rated pharmacies.

Martha Sloane, MSN, WHNP-BC

 

Martha Sloane, MSN, WHNP-BC, has been working as a nurse practitioner in women’s health for the past 33 years since she graduated cum laude from Boston College in 1984 with her MSN degree. She received her BSN degree from University at Buffalo in 1978 where she graduated summa cum laude. 

Martha, acting in her role as a nurse practitioner, has provided direct care to women of all socioeconomic backgrounds and ethnicities throughout their reproductive years and beyond in both private practices and community health settings. Martha has served on the faculty of the School of Nursing at U Mass Boston as a maternal child health clinical instructor where she taught and mentored students in their clinical practice at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and St. Elizabeths Hospital.  In addition to this, she has acted as preceptor to graduate nursing students from U Mass Boston, Boston College, Northeastern University, Mass General program, and Regis College.
 
From 2000 to 2014, Martha practiced at Women Well Inc. in Needham Massachusetts along with Dr. Carolyn Shaak who pioneered the prescribing of transdermal bioidentical hormones as replacement therapy for menopause. During this time, Martha became very adept in the art of custom compounding of hormones to meet the individual needs of the women whom she cared for.
 
Martha brings a wealth of extensive experience and commitment to improving the lives of women during their reproductive years, the transition to menopause (peri-menopause), and menopause years. She is excited to work with each woman individually to promote the goals of aging seamlessly while maintaining vitality and energy with optimal health.
